Shopgirl Quote

This quote is from Shopgirl. I introduced myself to my freshman year college roommate with a similar quote:
Mirabelle: Are you the kind of person that takes time to get to know, and then once you get to know them… they’re fabulous?
Jeremy: Yes, absolutely… What?
Is it conceited of me to say that this is the type of person I am? Or at least, it’s the kind of person I was. Now I’m better at getting straight to my annoying core. But anyways, at one point in my life I was so unbearably shy that this quote described me fairly decently. I don’t know about it anymore, but I wish it was still true.
