ALCS, Here We Come!

1) Scutaro is MONEY! My sign will confirm it. After the win, Mike and I walked around the middle of the lower deck with our signs and people cheered and high-fived and chanted. A couple folks even took pictures of “Puntober is Over.” You could taste the excitement!

2) There were some friends a section or so down with a similar Puntober sign. But I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  Also, there was another sign the other direction. It was a popular idea, I suppose.

3) Mike will confirm that I predicted big games from Bradley and Chavez because I saw they both do well against Radke last night. Still it was great for them to step up and get their postseasons going.

4) Swisher had some great battles at the plate.

5) Jimenez looked pretty decent at 2B. And he wasn’t bad at the plate, so I think we’ll be okay.

6) We got some excellent chants going, including “Yankees Suck” and “We Want the Yankees.” But the best one was when Scutaro was hitting with the bases loaded. That place was ROCKING, and would have been even crazier with the top deck open. When he got that hit, it was bedlam. SCUTARO! SCUTARO!

7) They put the extra press box seats above the normal pressbox. But it ruins the “Home of the Oakland Athletics” tarps.

8) White won the dot race.  The Diet Pepsi bottle was in cap 3.

9) Both Twins HR balls were thrown back.

10) I’m not sure why we pitched Street in the 9th inning. Seemed like a waste of him, when we could put one of our other relievers in to get their first postseason work. Also, why both risking him with a 5 run lead? Who would come in, if by some crazy occurence he failed? Or got injured? But ah well…

11) ALCS here we come!!!!

Oh, and I am going to rewatch the WHOLE GAME now. I have Scutaro fever!!  I’ve already spotted my green sign a few times. It’s in foul territory in left field, only a few sections past the foul pole. It hangs from the railing, most of the time.
