Alexander Hamilton

I feel sorry for the 10 dollar bill. Nobody ever uses it. I mean, people use it, but it’s always the rarest of the “main” bills (1, 5, 10, 20). When I used to work one of the registers at a museum, we’d always be short on 10 dollar bills. I still sort of feel like 10 dollar bills are special when I get them.

And it’s not just that, but the poor 10 dollar bill is represented by my favorite Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton. That guy was awesome. He laid the groundwork for our entire Treasury Department. He wrote a large amount of the Federalist Papers and probably could have run for president at one point if he had not been killed in a duel with Aaron Burr.

Which brings to mind another awesome thing about Alexander Hamilton, his “appearance” in a great Got Milk ad:

I always remember this commercial, because when it first aired I actually knew the answer already. Go History! Also, Michael Bay directed it.

The point of this all is:
Cherish your 10 dollar bills.
