Lucky Penny

Today I asked my coworker where they wanted to go to lunch, as I often do. She decided on Taco Bell, and I grudgingly went along (Spicy Chicken Burrito). Anyways, when I received my change, I noticed that one of the coins looked odd. I thought maybe it might have been some arcade token or something, until I noticed it was a penny, but one that I had never seen before.
Turns out, I got a 1947 Lincoln Wheat Penny from Taco Bell. Sure it’s really only worth 1 cent, but it was a pleasant surprise. It’s sort of crazy to think about a penny that is almost 60 years old, and has been in circulation that whole time. I’m lucky I even noticed it, how often do you examine pennies?
