Quizno's ruined the Cabo Chicken sandwich by getting rid of the deli-sliced chicken, and replacing it with chunks of chicken breasts.

Quizno’s has lost a valuable customer.

A few months ago, I stopped in to my local Quizno’s to purchase a delicious Cabo Chicken Sandwich. It was a special they introduced almost a year ago, and it became the only thing for me to order shortly afterwards.

A Cabo Chicken is a delicious combination of tasty ingredients:

-Tasty Quizno’s Bread
-Deli-Sliced Chicken
-Chipotle Mayo Sauce
-Cheddar Cheese
-Bacon Bits
-Tomatoes
-Red Onions
-Guacamole
-A Spring Mix of leafy greens

Toast it, and it is heaven on sliced bread. (Sidenote: When did sliced-bread become the pinnacle of human ingenuity? I forward the Cabo Chicken as the new greatest thing since a Cabo Chicken sandwich.)

Sounds delicious doesn’t it? Well it WAS! Then they went and ruined it.

How did they ruin it? Simple: They replaced the tender deli slices of chicken with unnatural chunks of chicken breasts (like are featured here). They are nowhere near as good, and they destroy the delicate texture of the sandwich!!

So please BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL CABO CHICKEN SANDWICH and abort this blasphemy to the sandwich gods. I’m tired of having to ask “can I get turkey on that instead?”

Turkey is Chicken’s retarded older brother, who sits around the house eating chips and watching Baywatch reruns. I want my deli-sliced chicken back!!

Yesterday when I took the day off to get new glasses and take care of some other chores, I was persuaded to go into a quaint little shop at Bay Street.

Let me begin by saying, I wasn’t really buying into the whole “cupcake craze.”

Well I was way off with that idea. I headed into the Teacake Bake Shop and my eyes quickly took in the simple decor, the tasty smells, and most of all, the baked confections. It was like a piece of heaven, baked in a tray, and served individually.

The cupcakes were delicious, the owner was nice, and my sweet tooth was satisfied. They have a regular customer now. I just hope the store doesn’t go the way of Q-Cup which used to be in the location a few stores down. I’ll have to spread the word about Teacake, and here’s as good a place as any.

Oh, and I was especially pleased with myself when I identified the “Asian taste” of the cupcake as almond extract, or perhaps sesame oil. Asian Invasion!
